Direct national sources
Where a documented national API is available, it is queried server-side and protected by caching and rate limits.
Data and attribution
Every result has a source.
Railzeno combines direct national APIs with railway timetable feeds. The interface keeps the origin and freshness of the information visible.
Reference timetables
GTFS schedules provide stations and planned calls. They are labelled as reference data until a realtime event confirms a change.
Source provenance catalogue
Transitous is consulted only as a public directory to identify upstream producers. Railzeno does not use its public API or processed archives in production.
Licences remain source-specific
A catalogue does not replace the licence of the original producer. Commercial use, caching, history and redistribution must be audited for every feed.
